This course is a follow on to our Basic Computing course. The intention of this module is to further enhance your computing skills and to allow you to get the most out of your computing experience.
Aims and Objectives
To be able to understand the modern computer system, to be able to successfully manage files and folders, keep the system in peak condition and enhance the life of your system. At the end of this module you will be able to:-
- Understand your Hardware
- Organise Directories and Files
- Keep your system software up to date
- Remove Virus and Malware Infections
- Install Security Updates
- Backup and Restore your personal data
- Set Up and run Housekeeping Tasks
- Keep your network running (Broadband)
- Set up external Hardware (e.g. printers)
